Officials with HDR have announced they have selected Omaha's Aksarben Village to be the site for the company's new headquarters.
The building will be located on the corner of 67th and Frances Streets.
HDR Chairman and CEO George A. Little said their new location is ideal for HDR's workforce both within and outside of Omaha.
" We have outgrown our current site so this location will serve our needs today and take us well into the future," he said.
HDR's new building will be 10 stories and 228,218 square feet, Officials say that can immediately house 1,150 employees.

This news comes two months after the company scrapped plans to move their headquarters to Downtown Omaha.
Officials say that HDR will serve as the architect of record. Noddle Companies is the developer for HDR's project.
"The final requirements to move forward are for Noddle Companies to submit an amendment to the Aksarben Village Mixed-Use Agreement and a Tax Increment Financing application to the city of Omaha. Once they are approved we'll be ready to start planning a groundbreaking event," Little said.
Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert released a statement following the HDR's plans to relocate to Aksarben Village:
“HDR is one of our most recognized businesses and we are proud and fortunate that Omaha is the home of the corporate headquarters.
HDR’s choice of Aksarben Village will complete the vision for this midtown business, residential and entertainment destination.
While I preferred a downtown location and hoped HDR would choose one of our excellent, available sites, I support the company’s decision and its long term commitment to Omaha.
The city will work with HDR as the development process moves forward.”
Officials say that construction is set to begin in late 2016 and be completed in early 2019.
