UPDATED 5 PM
According to an email from Papillion La Vista Community Schools, the La Vista Middle School and Hickory Hill were on lockout Thursday afternoon due to a police presence in the area. A spokesperson for the school district told 3 News Now that one other school in the area was included in that lockout.
Papillion police say that a man with a knife was reported inside Wildewood Christian Church. The pastor and church secretary locked themselves inside an office and called the police. The man was later apprehended as he left the church.
3 News Now confirmed that as of 4 p.m. Hickory Hill was given the all-clear from police and the lockout was lifted. Students were also being dismissed at La Vista Middle School.
This is a developing story. We will provide updates as they become available.
