Hope Center holds Christmas shopping spree

Posted

More than a hundred members of the Hope Center in Omaha lined up for a chance to go Christmas shopping Tuesday without leaving the north Omaha club.

Eight-year-old Kentrel Wright walked among the tables of donated items. He held green paper “Hope Dollars” to pay for the items.

“We try to get them to brainstorm about who can they shop for and what they'd like and things like that, so when they come through the line, it's easier and smoother to run through,” said Ladayshianae Jones, a Hope Center teen who also works with the children.
