There was so much anticipation for the Jimmy Buffett concert tonight at CenturyLink center, MECA sent KMTV the rules for tailgating and security a week in-advance just to get the word out.
Tonight the man from Margaretville is missing a hurricane back home but he has taken Omaha by storm.
For several hours lot c outside the CenturyLink center turned into Margaretville-or as some called it Omaharitaville.
“It's 5 o'clock right now baby-hey Jimmy it's 5-lets get a cocktail,” said John King.
Hawaiian shirts, leis, parrots--all the norm here.
“You know in Nebraska we don't have any of that we only have a few little places where we have water and beaches so right now it's in Lot C down at TD Ameritrade,” said another Buffett fan.
“It's the atmosphere, everyone here is just having fun--as i described it at my first one, you see a bunch of drunks and not a single one gets into a fight,” said Buffett fan Jean Cramer of Omaha.
MECA said there were no major problems and fans showed up early like suggested.
