Following her victory against Brad Ashford in the 2nd Congressional District Democratic primary election Tuesday night, Kara Eastman joined 3 News Now on Wednesday to talk about her campaign and what it took to win.
Eastman spoke with 3 News Now morning anchor Emily Szink about her passion for health care and running for her mother, who was diagnosed with cancer five times; her grassroots campaign, and what it took to defeat an established politician in the primary.
"I feel a sense of desperation now for our country," she said.
Eastman will challenge incumbent Rep. Don Bacon, who ran on the Republican side uncontested, in the November election.
