OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska lawmakers have passed a bill to allow hemp farming in Nebraska. LB 657 passed in the Unicameral by a landslide vote of 43-4.
Before the bill could become law in it still needs to be signed by Governor Pete Ricketts.
The bill states it would "Promote the cultivation and processing of hemp and open up new commercial markets for farmers and businesses through the sale of hemp products."
