OMAHA. NEB. (KMTV) — Lincoln police plan to use lessons learned during recent protests to make changes.

Lincoln's mayor says the department will announce revisions to its use-of-force policy next Tuesday.

Those changes are expected to include de-escalation strategies aimed at minimizing the use of deadly force.

At least eight Lincoln police officers were injured after dozens of protesters clashed with them on May 30.
