It took less than 24 hours for Omaha Police to make an arrest in the city’s latest gas station robbery.
The Omaha Police Department says 20-year-old Xavier Benton was arrested for robbing the Mega Saver at 72nd Street and Military Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say investigators were able to find the suspect vehicle near 56th and Ames Avenue, about a mile and a half away from the crime scene.
Officers also searched an apartment where the vehicle was found, according to police, and took Benton into custody.
Investigators are not yet releasing his booking photo. Benton faces one count of robbery.
