Omaha Police are investigating a possible hit and run early Thursday morning.
Police found 51 year old Tyrone Fields lying in the street near the crosswalk at 20th and Harney at 1 a.m. on Thursday. Fields told officers he was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle. Police say Fields was intoxicated and could not give a description of the vehicle that hit him and left the scene.
Medics took Fields to CHI Creighton where he was treated for several broken ribs and a bruised lung. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
