OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The state of Nebraska is facing a budget shortfall this year. The state needs to come up with $39 million to balance this year's budget.

The Legislative fiscal office says Nebraska will bring in $110 million less than expected between now and June of 2021.

The shortfall is less because some of that money will automatically come out of the state's cash reserve.
