NHS reduces dog adoption fees after overcrowding

Posted

Officials with the  Nebraska Humane Society said on Thursday that they are getting very tight on dog space.

Officials said they still have dogs waiting to be adopted and looking for homes.

NHS officials said they are cutting adoption prices due to that.

All dogs 6 months and up will be half priced this Friday and Saturday.

Officials say that all dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have their first round of basic shots.

NHS are reminding the public that adopters will still need to pay licensing fees at the time of adoption if they live in Omaha or Sarpy County.

The shelter is located at 90th and Fort streets.

The adoption hours are this Friday from 12:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.,  Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

NHS is urging the public to arrive at least 35 minutes before closing time to complete an application.
