Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousefzai will be the featured speaker at a benefit for Girls Inc. in July.
Malala became the youngest ever recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 after continuing to advocate for education for girls and woman, even after she survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban in 2012.
She will speak at the 16th annual Lunch for the Girls, a fundraiser for Girls Inc. on Monday, July 18.
It runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CenturyLink Center Omaha. Tickets went on sale Monday through the Girls Inc. website or by calling 402-457-4676. They cost $100 per person.
