Bags of teddy bears were donated to an organization that provides them to children coping with the loss of a loved one.
The stuffed animals were collected by the Omaha Lancers during a teddy bear toss during the hockey team’s game last week.
“It means the world to us. Not only do we have a number of bears now - over 2,000 bears, now, that we can hand out to all of our program participants,” said Rebecca Turner, with Ted E. Bear Hollow.
The nonprofit has programs throughout Nebraska and Iowa.
