An Omaha man is accused of shooting and killing a Lincoln man over the weekend.
The Lincoln Police Department says Anthony Wells, 33, has been arrested for first-degree murder in the death of 25-year-old Joshua Hartwig.
Investigators say Wells fired multiple shots at a group of people standing outside an apartment building near 20th and Knox streets around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
Hartwig was hit an unknown number of times, according to police, and died at scene.
About 30 minutes before the shooting, police say Wells left the apartment building after getting into an argument with a woman that was broken up by bystanders.
Wells was arrested Monday afternoon at his home in Omaha. He’ll be taken to Lancaster County to face the charges against him.
The Lincoln Police Department says there are no other suspects, but detectives are still interviewing witnesses and searching for evidence in this case.
In 2014, Wells was acquitted of charges that accused him of giving a gun to Nikko Jenkins, who was later convicted of murdering four people.
