Omaha Police are investigating the second murder of the day on Monday.
Police were called to the area of 48th and Boyd for a report of a shooting around 4:30 Monday afternoon. Police say one woman was killed. There is a heavy police presence at the scene. The victim has not been identified. So far police do not have an accurate description of the suspect.
The shooting happened moments before a second shooting was reported near 44th & Spaulding. The victim in that shooting was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.
