Children who do well in school could find zoo tickets in their hands.
Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is approaching a major milestone of two million visitors. To help make that happen they are asking local schools for some help. Area elementary schools will receive some complimentary admission tickets for students and families.
The zoo's education department will deliver a set number of tickets to schools throughout the week. The schools will them hand them out to children who are excelling at their studies, according to a news release from the zoo.
The zoo says it's a way to give back to schools and to help reach the attendance goal.
