Omaha Police officers arrested a man who was accused of two different incidents around town on Tuesday.
OPS officers arrested Christopher Easterling for two robberies that took placw within an hour of each other.
First, At around 4:58 p.m., OPD Officers investigated an attempted robbery at the Dollar General 5636 Ames Ave.
There the Officers spoke to witnesses who stated a black male wearing a blue sweatshirt ran into the store producing a handgun and demanded money from the registers.
The suspect was not able to receive any money and fled the store on foot.
Then at around 5:38 p.m., officers responded to another robbery.
That robbery took place at the Bucky's Gas Station 5718 NW Radial Hwy.
Witnesses advised a black male wearing a blue sweatshirt, tan pants and a backpack produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then left the store on a bicycle after receiving money.
Omaha Police Gang Unit Officers located the suspect in a nearby area and was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to Central Headquarters to be interviewed and then later transported to Douglas County Corrections where he was booked on two counts of Robbery and two counts of use of a gun to commit a felony.
