OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department says a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries just east of 99th and Maple Streets this morning.

Officers were called to the area just after 6:30 a.m. for a report of a crash. They say 23-year-old Saadiyo Yusuf Mohamed attempted to cross at an area without a crosswalk and was struck by a westbound vehicle being driven by 22-year-old Jordan B. Oldenhoff. Oldenhoff was uninjured in the crash.

Police say Mohamed was transported to Nebraska Medicine by OFD medics for treatment and that alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the crash.
