The mother of a lost 4-year-old child was reunited with her son Tuesday morning. The little boy was found standing and crying on the corner a South Omaha corner.
Around 3:30 Tuesday morning, a police officer saw the child pacing back and forth on 20th and Vinton. He was dressed in warm clothing and crying, but couldn't tell police where he lived. At the time, they combed the area, still, no luck.
“Finding a 4-year-old at night is serious, but in this kind of weather, it’s critical, more serious,” said OPD Lt. Enrico Ramos.
Police located the child’s mother. She picked him up at the Southeast Precinct about an hour and a half after he got lost.
