A new riverfront attraction is open in Council Bluffs.
The city held a grand opening celebration for the new pavilion at Tom Hanafran River's Edge Park Wednesday night.
The new facility will available for private parties and weddings.
According to Council Bluffs Mayor Matt Walsh, there will also be 270 high-end apartments, 30 townhomes and within a few weeks there will be a groundbreaking for a 62,000 square-foot office space and 740-car parking garage.
Right now, the downtown riverfront trust is putting $1 million into studying the empty space along the riverfront and Council Bluffs and Omaha are taking ideas from the public.
