An accident involving a semi closed Highway 75 near Highway 34, frustrating Sarpy County drivers for a couple hours Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, emergency personnel were called to the scene of an accident involving a semi and a Honda near the Highway 75 intersection with Highway 34, according to Sarpy County Sheriff's Department.
One person was transported from the scene to UNMC in serious condition, a county dispatcher said. Highway 75 was closed for a couple hours while the scene was cleared, she said.
Drivers were encouraged via Twitter to find an alternate route.
Highway 75 re-opened around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
