LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Residents traveling in Lancaster County are urged to be cautious due to possible downed trees and water over the roads.

According to Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman, multiple incidents of tree damage have been reported. After frost boils on county roads, Dingman asks individuals to be careful when driving in these areas due to potential soft road conditions.

If soft roads or downed tree limbs are encountered, slow down and proceed with caution. Do not attempt to cross water across the road.

The Engineer and staff will closely monitor roads for any type of flooding or damage.

Individuals are asked to call the County Engineer at (402)-441-7681 to report any problematic areas. Call the Lancaster County Sheriff's non-emergency line at (402)-441-6000 if a public safety concern is encountered.
