A single engine plane crash landed along Interstate 29, north of Council Bluffs Thursday, killing one person aboard.
Pottwattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker said one person was killed in the crash. The plane clipped a power line before crash landing, Danker said.
Tim Conahan, chief of police with the Omaha Airport Authority, says his agency is helping the Pottwattamie County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says I-29 is blocked in both directions from exit 56 for Iowa 192 to exit 61 to I-680.
