Sunday night crash leaves two injured

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A Sunday evening crash in Elkhorn left two people injured.

Officers were called to the area of S 204th Street and Farnam Street for a crash involving two vehicles. An investigation found that a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu was heading south on S 204th Street when it crossed the center median into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2005 Ford 500SE heading northbound.

The driver of the Chevrolet and the driver of the Ford were transported to CHI Bergan Mercy. Alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.

The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as 29-year-old Brandi Chulufus. She suffered injuries to her leg and pelvis. The driver of the Ford was identified as 18-year-old Katerina Fricke, and she suffered injuries to her ankle and pelvis. Charges are pending for both drivers.
