OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — In Douglas County, emergency sirens are tested on the first Wednesday of May, June, July, August, September and October. If you hear one today, the first Wednesday of October, seek shelter.

The Douglas County Emergency Management Agency says today's scheduled test has been postponed due to the potential of storms throughout the county.

A new test date will be announced at a later time.
