Posted

Omaha Police say a teenage driver lost control of a mini-van, hit five pine trees and a roadway sign before spinning back onto the road.

Investigators say it happened just after 2:00 on Wednesday morning just south of 180th and Q Street.

According to a police, all three teens were not wearing seat belts and ended up with injuries that are non-life threatening.

Speed is a primary factor in the crash, the 19-year-old driver of the van, Kyle Packett was cited for willful reckless driving, fixed object collide and seat belt violation.
