An Omaha man wanted in connection with a shooting at a local gas station was involved in a standoff in Texas Thursday morning.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were helping serve an arrest warrant for Robert Covington, 32, at a Dallas apartment complex when shots were fired and the standoff happened.
Officials have not told the Dallas CBS affiliate how the standoff was resolved, but did say deputies did not fire any shots.
Covington was wanted for first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony after investigators said he shot and injured a Bucky’s gas station clerk on Jan. 16.
