A woman is recovering after crashing her car into Lake Cunningham Sunday night.
Police say 30 year old Trina Charon was westbound on Highway 36 when her car left the road near 91st Street, hit several reflective posts before hitting a bridge guardrail and going airborne, landing upside down in Lake Cunningham. She was able to get to shore on her own and was found by someone who called 911.
Charon was taken to Nebraska Medicine for treatment of a broken arm and ribs. She admitted to smoking marijuana and meth before the crash. Police say charges are pending.
