High school students across the country staged walk outs Wednesday afternoon in protest of violence.
Around a dozen students walked out of Westside High School at lunch time.
A freshman student told KMTV 3 News Now she doesn't feel safe at school because they've had threats of violence.
She said she would feel more safe at school if they hired an resource officer to stay in the building all day. She also would like to see metal detectors at school.
