Oklahoma State's Thomas Hatch did what an ace is supposed to do. He pitched the game of his life at the perfect time. It was a little shaky at first before he settled down to weave a complete game shutout. The Cowboys needed every bit of that performance to. Hatch was matched almost stride for stride by UC-Santa Barbara's Shane Bieber. The Gauchos only allowed one run to cross the plate, but that run was all the window Hatch and OSU needed to help pull off the 1-0 victory.
