In its final Big East road series this season, Creighton split a pair of contests in a doubleheader against Seton Hall Saturday afternoon.
In the first game of the day, Creighton used some more late-game heroics, as Isaac Collins hit a game-winning home run in the top of the ninth to give CU the 4-3 victory over the Pirates. It was the second consecutive game the Bluejays hit a go-ahead home run in the ninth inning to pick up a win.
But in the second game of the doubleheader, Seton Hall starter Zach Predergast limited Creighton to just seven hits in a complete-game performance, as the Pirates denied the Bluejays a series sweep with the 1-0 win.
Creighton's record now sits at 21-18 overall this season and 10-3 in the Big East. The Bluejays are back in action Tuesday night with an in-state matchup against UNO at Werner Park at 6:35 p.m.
