The Creighton Bluejays survived an elimination game with St. John's to advance to the Big East Championship game on Sunday. Creighton fell behind 3-0 before rallying to win 4-3. Matt Gandy's 2-run blast in the sixth cut the St. John's lead to 3-2. They would eventually tie it on a Daniel Woodrow sacrifice fly. Then, in the bottom of the 10th Reagan Fowler delivered the walk-off single to give Creighton the victory.
The Jays will have to beat Xavier two times in a row on Sunday to clinch the Big East crown.
