Nebraska safety Nathan Gerry has been named the Big Ten defensive player of the week.
Gerry intercepted two passes, broke up another, and made a team high seven tackles in the Huskers 52-17 win Saturday over Wyoming. His two interceptions moved Gerry into the top five of Nebraska's career interceptions list. He's also the fifth Huskers defensive back to record 200 career tackles.
It's the first time Gerry has won the weekly honor.
