The Nebraska football team took the field for its home opener Saturday evening against Fresno State, but one thing was missing: Sam Foltz. Foltz was tragically killed in a car accident just weeks ago, but the Huskers have not forgotten.
On Nebraska's first punt of the game, the team came out without a punter. The Huskers were charged with a delay of game penalty, but Fresno State declined.
The players on the sideline went to a knee, while kicker Drew Brown pointed towards the sky. Brown was a close friend of Foltz's and was awarded the first Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award.

We'll always remember #SF27.
Well done, @HuskerFBNation & HUskers fans.
