As first reported by Nate Clouse, Keyshawn Johnson Jr. is no longer with the Nebraska football program. Clouse said Johnson Jr. is taking a leave of abscense from the program, but said the door is open for a return next January.

The Omaha World-Herald's Samuel McKewon said he confirmed with Keyshawn Johnson Sr. that his son was leaving the program to "mature", and that he hopes to return in 2018.
