Nebraska featured C-1 duo at quarterback and running back in second half

Posted

In the second half against Bethune-Cookman with Noah Vedral behind center and Wyatt Mazour at running back, Nebraska had two former Class C-1 players leading the offense.

Vedral played at Bishop Neumann while Mazour attended Boone Central.

"When they started putting in the younger guys Noah Vedral was wondering who his running back would be and I said I'm your running back and he looked over at me and he didn't really say anything to me but we both knew being C-1 players in Nebraska, it was a pretty special moment," said Mazour.

Mazour rushed five times for 55 yards while Vedral went two for nine for 29 yards through the air and ran for 35 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's win against Bethune Cookman.
