After defeating No. 20 Iowa at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Tuesday for its win over a ranked opponent in nearly two years, Nebraska women's basketball followed suit Sunday afternoon on the road at No. 25 Rutgers, knocking off the Scarlet Knights, 52-42.
Nebraska is now a perfect 7-0 in true road games this season, as the Huskers improved to 14-6 overall this year and 5-2 in the Big Ten. NU led for the final 35 minutes of the contest against Rutgers.
Freshman Kate Cain led the Huskers with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Senior Jasmine Cincore added 11 points for the Big Red.
Nebraska now returns home for a match-up against Purdue on Wednesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
