Omaha Westside hung on to beat No. 7 Lincoln Pius X in the first round of the girls state basketball tournament 47-41.

The Warriors came out of the gates hot as senior Quinn Weidemann knocked down her first two three's giving Westside an early 8-2 lead, but Pius stuck around and led 15-12 at the end of the first.
Weidemann was in foul trouble towards the end of the game but still managed to finish with 26 points.
