Earlier in the Metro Holiday Tournament, Omaha Westside's Quinn Weidemann became the Warriors' all-time leading scorer. And in the final on Thursday evening at Ralston Arena, Weidemann continued to have the hot hand. The senior guard scored a game-high 25 points, all part of Westside's 73-49 over Millard South to take home the Metro Holiday title.
In a rematch of last year's Metro Holiday final that the Patriots won, the Warriors flipped the script to hoist the trophy on Thursday.
"It gives us a lot of confidence that we can play with any team in the state, especially an amazing team like Millard South," Weidemann said. "Our team chemistry this year is extremely good."
