For the second straight season, Omaha North is headed back to Memorial Stadium to compete for a state championship trophy. The Vikings take on unbeaten Kearney Tuesday night.
Omaha North fell to Bellevue West in last year's state title game, but the Vikings know what it takes to hoist the hardware. North was the Class A champion in 2014.
And these two schools are quite familiar with one another when it comes to the postseason. Omaha North beat Kearney in the state semifinals a year ago. Kickoff between the Vikings and Bearcats is set for 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday night.
