Yutan won its first ever state football title on Tuesday with a 27-6 victory over Centennial in the Class C2 championship game.
The Chieftains captured the crown after starting the season 0-3, one of those losses being to Centennial early in the year.
Senior Bryland Menicucci rushed for 102 yards on 37 carries and scored two touchdowns in his final high school game.
Fellow senior Allan Leahy picked off a pass deep in Broncos territory to set up the first score of the game.
It was one of four interceptions on the day forced by the Yutan defense.
The Chieftains end the year with a 10-3 record.
