Clouds start to move back in tonight, but it won't get nearly as cold as Tuesday night. We'll start Thursday morning in the mid to upper 10s.
Thursday will be mostly cloudy and breezy, but the warm-up continues into the mid-30s, getting us back to average for January.
Hit-and-miss snow showers will move in from the northwest in the afternoon and slowly drift southeast through eastern Nebraska and western Iowa into the evening, clearing out before midnight. We could see a little dusting of snow in a few neighborhoods, but snow totals over 1/4" to 1/2" will not be common. Do keep in mind this snow will be occurring during the evening commute, and given how cold the ground/road is, this snow could create patchy slick spots.
We stay mostly cloudy Friday with highs in the low 30s and breezy winds.
Saturday will also be in the low 30s, but we should see more sunshine mixed in with the clouds. A few flurries will be possible in the evening, but shouldn't cause any problems.
Some light snow may be possible early Sunday morning and throughout the day. It's likely not a lot of snow, but we could gradually accumulate a dusting as colder air moves in. It will be a windy day with highs in the upper 20s.
It will be a cold start to next week, with Monday in the low 20s, but we return to the 30s by midweek, and potentially the 40s by the end of next week.
