Some freezing rain will linger around areas mainly north and west of Omaha for a few hours on Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon, leading to icy roads. Elsewhere, air temperatures will be above freezing all day, so any precipitation south of Omaha will be mainly just plain old cold rain.
By mid to late Saturday afternoon, most if not all of the precipitation will be exiting to our east, leaving skies mostly cloudy. Temperatures will rise in the mid 30s this afternoon.
Please do be aware that any untreated road or sidewalk that is untreated and still wet tonight will re-freeze into ice for Sunday morning as we start Sunday in the upper 20s.
Sunday will be breezy and warmer with mid 40s and a mix of sun and clouds.
It stays breezy Monday, but we keep temperatures a touch above average, in the mid 40s.
It starts to get cooler again Tuesday with low 40s and some sunshine.
We drop into the low 30s Wednesday with a little more wind.
Thursday looks mostly sunny with a high closer to 40.
